- Traditional Construction
In 1999, GM became one of the first contractors in the country to purchase a directional-drilling machine specifically to do sewer and water work. Currently we have several machines to do any size bore you may need. Our work is environmentally friendly and creates only minor interruptions to the area.
Since April 1999, we have used our new machines for numerous water, sanitary sewer and miscellaneous projects. Our work has involved the placing of PVC, HDPE, and steel pipe in diameters ranging from 0 to 36 inch.
We are one of few water/sewer contractors in our area who uses directional equipment to install water and sewer lines. We do our own road crossing and can bid directional segments of projects without going to a subcontractor.
Cost and employee safety are primary factors when considering construction options. With directional drilling it is necessary to look beyond pipe installation costs. The real cost savings occurs through a reduction in the amount of site restoration required.
If you would like more information, we were written up in the September '99 edition of PublicWorks Magazine or just call us. We would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
